Double-Hung Windows: have two operating sash that move up and down allowing for ventilation on the top, bottom or both.
Casement Windows: are attached to its frame by one or more hinges at the side. They are used singly or in pairs within a common frame, in which case they are hinged on the outside.

Picture Windows: are a large window that does not open up. It offers a clear and unobstructed view of the outside environment. It is basically framework for whatever view is on display.
Bay Windows: are a window space projecting outward from the main walls of a building and forming a bay in a room.
Awning Windows: are hinged on the top and open outward from the bottom, allowing for ventilation and protection from the rain. Often placed higher on walls for privacy or in combination with large stationary windows for a better view.

Slider Windows: have sashes that slide either left or right in a single frame. Both sides of the window can be opened at the same time, which allows for optimum ventilation throughout your home.
Transom Windows: are located over top of a window or door’s transom- this is the beam that separates the top of the window or door from the rest of the wall. Consequently, transom windows can come in many different shapes, styles and designs, but retain the name due to their location.

Single/Double/Triple Pane Glass: start off with one layer of glass. Two or three panes of glass means more layers of protection between the weather and your home.
Mirrored Glass: is another phrase used for reflective glass. It is glass that has been treated with a metallic substance and offers mirror-like properties.

Laminated Glass: is a type of safety glass that holds together when shattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by an interlayer, typically of polyvinyl butyral, ethylene-vinyl acetate, or Thermoplastic Polyurethane, between its two or more layers of glass
Tinted Glass: can be any glass that has been treated with a material. A film or coating is used in glass tinting, which reduces the transmission of light through it.
